DESCRIPTION:Explore the art of colored pencil during Colored Pencil Happy Hour with artist Wanda Taylor at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. \nWith more than 20 years of colored pencil experience\, Wanda guides participants through techniques including composition\, complementary color\, texture\, blending\, layering\, and developing a personal artistic style. Participants may follow guided lessons or bring their own reference images and projects to work on during class. \nWanda provides step-by-step guidance throughout the process\, making the class approachable for both beginners and experienced artists. All skill levels are welcome. \nParticipants should bring their own drawing paper or sketchbook\, artist-grade colored pencils\, an eraser\, and a pencil sharpener. The museum recommends heavier drawing paper or smooth watercolor or mixed-media paper. Clairefontaine Pastelmat and Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet are also recommended options. \nAdvance registration is available through the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art event page.
