DESCRIPTION:On May 19th\, 2021 the St. Joseph Stockyards had its last sale after 135 years in operation. From cattle trails to train rails and interstate highways\, ‘SOLD!’ follows the growth and change in St. Joseph and in agriculture in other communities across the nation. ‘SOLD!’ explores the impact of stockyards\, livestock auctions\, packing houses\, and consumer demands via in-depth interviews with cowboys\, historians\, ranchers\, auctioneers\, and industry experts.\n\nDirector Drew Ames was inspired to make this film when he first heard about the St. Joseph Stockyards closing. “My grandpa and I sold our Angus cattle there for years. The Stockyards for a century-plus was a foundation for the whole community. It is the end of this great era in St. Joe and historically in America.
