DESCRIPTION:The Shamrock 5K is a Fun Run/Walk benefiting Special Olympics Missouri North Area. The event takes place in St. Joseph\, Missouri and is a joint endeavor between local law enforcement and Special Olympics through the Law Enforcement Torch Run® program\, which raises awareness and funds for local athletes with intellectual disabilities. \n\nShuttle will be provide from Norty’s to the start of the race.\n Race will begin at 11:15am.\nPre Packet Pickup on Friday\, March 11th at Norty’s\nCostume Contest\nMedals to first 3 Male/Female/Youth Male/Youth Female\nThis is a fun 5k run/walk\n\nThank you for your consideration in joining us for our 10th Annual Shamrock Run!

SUMMARY:St. Patrick's Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:Beginning at noon the Parade will start at Frederick and Noyes and finish at 8th and Felix. As it has the in the past\, the Parade will include floats\, Irish music and other entries celebrating their Irish heritage. \nThe St. Joseph Saint Patrick’s Day Parade born in 1867 and later reborn in 1986 to provide the people of Saint Joseph and the surrounding area an opportunity to celebrate their Irish heritage. In 1997\, to keep the original idea of the Parade alive\, the Ancient Order of Hibernians began their organization of the Parade and with the help of the people of the area have made it a growing success. \nJoin Grand Marshals\, The Crotty Family\, as we march in celebration of our Irish heritage! \nThe Hibernians are proud to partner again with Second Harvest Food Bank and their efforts to fight hunger. Parade participants and those watching are encouraged to bring can goods to help in this fight. \nWe ask all those who attend to use their best judgment in participation during this environment\, if you feel unsure about attending; there will always be another parade next year! \nIf you’re an interested family\, business\, or political candidate you’re welcomed to enter a float and participate in the Parade. The cost is $75 and the deadline to enter is March 5\, 2023.
