DESCRIPTION:Established in 1983\, National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) is an annual tradition to celebrate the U.S. travel community and travel’s essential role in stimulating economic growth\, cultivating vibrant communities\, creating quality job opportunities\, inspiring new businesses and elevating the quality of life for Americans every day.\n\nMay 19-25\, join us in celebrating NTTW.  \nWhile NTTW has historically been celebrated during the first full week of May\, this year’s NTTW dates were shifted due to a conflict with U.S. Travel’s IPW. The NTTW 2024 theme will be announced in the coming months.

SUMMARY:Show Me St. Jo! Experience
DESCRIPTION:This experience gives participants an opportunity to be a tourist for the day. Registration includes admission to multiple attractions with transportation included\, as well as a t-shirt\, and lunch prepared by a local caterer. A guide and CVB representative will be there to provide interesting facts\, stories\, and information on the importance of tourism in our community. Upon completion\, a Certificate of Achievement signed by the mayor will be presented to each participant. \nThe Show Me St. Jo Experience is designed to: \n\nCreate an awareness of our city’s amenities\nFoster community pride\nTeach the importance of tourism in Buchanan County\nStress the Significance of resident involvement in attracting visitors\n\nFor tickets or additional information: Call (816) 233-6688
