DESCRIPTION:Induction Ceremony Presented By Atha Bros Ag \nThe fourth annual enshrinement ceremony for the St. Joseph Area Sports Hall of Fame Class will be held on Sunday\, August 25\, 2024 at Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center located at 1201 North Woodbine Road. The ceremony is held in memory and honor of Mr. Frank O’Malley. \nDoors to the event open at 4 PM with social hour presented by Ellison-Auxier Architects\, with the ceremony beginning at 5 PM. A limited number of tickets are available so do not delay! \n4:00 PM – Social Hour\n5:00 PM Induction Ceremony\nThe 2024 class includes: \n\nBob Blakley – Baseball and Men’s Fastpitch Softball Star\nRyan Bradley – United State Figure Skating Star\nDirck Clark/Charlie Shields – Chiefs Training Camp Pioneers\nHeavin (Warner) Douglas – Multi-time NCAA Track & Field National Champion\nBrice Garnett – MWSU Legend/PGA Tour Golfer\nDan Gerson – St. Joseph Mustangs Owner/Founder\nDr. Pat Lipira – Missouri Southern Softball Coaching Legend\nDoug Minnis – Legendary Missouri Western Baseball Coach\nBill Scott – Local and State Sportswriter\n2007 Benton High School Girls Basketball Undefeated State Champions\nCharlie Phillips – Special Olympics Area Athlete of the Year presented by the Hook Family\n\nAdditionally in conjunction with the induction ceremony\, we’ll also recognize the third Bill Snyder Woman of Impact Award winner presented by Commerce Bank.  This year’s recipient will be announced in late July.
