SUMMARY:Sculpture Walk: "First Walk"
DESCRIPTION:The Sculpture Walk is a year-long exhibit of juried\, outdoor sculptures in Downtown St. Joseph.  The 22 sculptures feature stunning works of art created by artists from across North America\, including pieces by Missouri sculptors.  Viewers of the sculpture walk are encouraged to vote for their favorite sculpture by completing the ballot found in the walking tour brochure and dropping it off in one of the ballot boxes downtown or by dropping it off at the Allied Arts office\, 118 S. 8th Street. \nEveryone is invited to join in the guided “First Walk” on Wednesday\, June 12\, 2024.  Walkers will meet at the corner of 8th and Felix at 6:30 p.m.  \nThis Allied Arts Council program is made possible through a partnership with the City of St. Joseph\, the St. Joseph Downtown Community Improvement District\, business sponsors\, and Friends of the Sculpture Walk.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Old Town North Neighborhood Association for the “Cakes & Ale” Shakespearean themed event from 1 – 3pm at the Killackey Hall Street Park. There will be some yummy treats and drinks for sale. The event program starts at 1:30pm and includes a history of the property that is now the park\, an update on the neighborhood improvement grant and the park’s landscape design\, and the opportunity to give input into future plans for the park.
