DESCRIPTION:Join us for Circle the Wagon\, a celebration of the 1960 Pony Express Re-Ride\, on Saturday\, April 25\, 2026 at 1:30 PM. The Lee Shifflett Family will share artifacts from the 1960 re-ride\, which began at the Pony Express Stables on April 3\, 1960\, just as the original Pony Express ride once did. \nGuests will enjoy historic films documenting the rider’s departure from St. Joseph on the journey to Salt Lake City\, along with additional footage from 1967. The program will also recognize Raymond Shifflett\, who took part in the re-ride\, and honor those who participated by reading their names aloud. \nThe celebration will include a toast\, cake\, newspaper coverage from the day\, and other memorable items that help bring this important piece of Pony Express history back to life. Admission is free\, and all are welcome.
