SUMMARY:Studio Basics: Fused Glass with Alex Asher
DESCRIPTION:Studio Basics: Fused Glass with Alex Asher is a hands-on\, two-class workshop at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art designed for beginners and creatives of all experience levels. Participants will learn the fundamentals of fused glass\, including safe material handling\, cutting techniques\, design assembly\, and the kiln-firing process. \nDuring the workshop\, students will create fused glass jewelry pieces and a glass mosaic artwork. Participants are encouraged to bring a colorful reference image to inspire their mosaic design. After the first class\, all assembled pieces will be kiln-fired. In the second class\, students will return to finish their jewelry\, add final details\, and complete their mosaic artwork. \nAll materials for both classes are included. The workshop takes place Wednesdays\, June 3 and 10\, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
