Beginner’s Knitting with Marylin Huskamp is designed for new knitters who want to learn the basics in a friendly, hands on setting. Students will practice casting on, knit and purl stitches, casting off, and measuring gauge, then begin working on a simple scarf as skills build. As the class progresses, participants may be introduced to additional stitch patterns and techniques such as cables, yarn overs, and popcorn stitches. Supplies are provided through Class 2. Starting with Class 3, students will purchase their own materials to complete their scarf, and Marylin will review what to buy during Class 1. The class meets Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
