The St. Joseph Parks Department is hosting a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new shelter and bathroom at Corby Pond (2202 Northeast Pkwy.) on Monday, August 11 at 6 p.m. TJ Preacher with the Department of Conservation and Sara Wilson from the Glore Psychiatric Museum will speak on the health benefits of nature, followed by a program from the Boy Scouts on starting fires. Plus, fishing rods and bait will be available to the public if they’d like to fish. For more information, see the City of St. Joseph’s Facebook page here.
