Tech N9ne will headline the Red Rally concert at St. Joseph’s downtown Civic Center Park on Friday, July 29.
In addition to the hip-hop artist, the event will include a pre-rally, which begins at 2 p.m. and features DJ music. Chiefs fans are encouraged to wear red, pick a spot and enjoy the atmosphere, which includes inflatables for kids, T-shirts for sale and food and drink vendors. Some vendors require cash only.
Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and games during the pre-rally.
Joey Austin, a spokeswoman for Mosaic Life Care, said she expects thousands of attendees, which accounted for the decision to have the event at Civic Center Park.
“This will be our biggest pep rally,” Austin said. “Chiefs fans and St. Joseph residents know how to behave, we know how to have a good time and take care of each other. It is a family-friendly environment.”
Following the rally, fans are encouraged to attend the Sounds of Summer concert series at Coleman Hawkins Park, featuring the band Swift Kik.
The Red Rally is a collaborative effort from Made with Uncommon Character, an organization supported by Mosaic Life Care, the City of St. Joseph, the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, Missouri Western State University, the St. Joseph School District and the St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau.
