The Sculpture Walk is a program of the Allied Arts Council that introduces contemporary outdoor public art and sculptures to our community. The Walk is a year-long exhibit of national, juried, outdoor sculptures displayed in Downtown St. Joseph and includes an eclectic mix of sculptures from artists nationwide. In 2021-22 there will be 21 sculptures on display.
The sculptures are owned by the artists and loaned to the Allied Arts Council for one year. Visitors are invited to vote for their favorite sculpture each year to determine the recipient of the People’s Choice Award. Brochures are available at various downtown businesses and in ballot boxes located near 8thand Felix, 7th and Felix, Edmond between 7th and 6th, and the 500 block of Francis. To submit your vote, simply tear off the voting panel and place it in one of the ballot boxes or bring it to the Allied Arts Council office, or drop it through the mail slot at 118 S. 8th St., St. Joseph, MO.
The program is made possible through a partnership with the City of St. Joseph and financial support from the Downtown Community Improvement District, business sponsors, and individual sponsors through the Friends of the Sculpture Walk.
All of the artwork on display is available for purchase. For more information, or to purchase a sculpture, please call the Allied Arts Council at 816-233-0231.
