Discover the art of glass fusing in this hands-on two-class workshop with Alex Asher at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art. Designed for beginners and creatives of all levels, this series introduces the fundamentals of fused glass, including safe material handling, cutting techniques, design assembly, and the kiln-firing process.
During the first class, participants will create fused glass jewelry pieces using molds and begin a glass mosaic artwork. Students are encouraged to bring a colorful reference image to help inspire their mosaic design. After class, all pieces will be fired in the kiln.
In the second class, students will return to assemble their finished jewelry, add final details, and complete their mosaic artwork. All materials are included.
This workshop takes place on Tuesdays, April 7 and April 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cost is $100 per person.
