Join Alex Asher at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art for Studio Basics: Fused Glass, a hands-on two-class workshop designed for beginners and creatives of all skill levels. Participants will learn the fundamentals of fused glass, including safe material handling, cutting techniques, design assembly, and the kiln-firing process.
During the workshop, students will create fused glass jewelry pieces and a glass mosaic artwork. Participants are encouraged to bring a colorful reference image to help inspire their mosaic design. All assembled pieces will be fired in the kiln between classes, with the second session focused on finishing jewelry, refining mosaic artwork, and picking up completed projects.
All materials are included. The workshop takes place Wednesdays, June 3 and 10, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Cost is $100 per person.
