D2 CCA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TIP-OFF CLASSIC SET FOR NOVEMBER 2 & 3

In just under three weeks, we are proud to host an elite field to tip off the NCAA Division II Men’s & Women’s Basketball season in Civic Arena October 31-November 2. This highly impressive field features both men’s & women’s teams from Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri State along a with men’s field that includes MIAA rival Pittsburg State, 2024 NCAA National Champion Minnesota State and 2025 NCAA Tournament participants West Texas A & M and Missouri-St. Louis. The women’s draw features the defending National Champion Grand Valley State along with Elite Eight participant Lubbock Christian and 2025 NCAA Tournament Participants West Texas A & M and Adams State. 2025 MSHSAA GIRLS VOLLEYBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

NOVEMBER 5-8

The St. Joseph Sports Commission is excited to partner with the Missouri State High School Activities Association in hosting the Girls Volleyball State Championship at Civic Arena in 2025-2027. 20 teams across all five classes of state volleyball will converge on St. Joseph to crown five State Champions over the four days. The field will be set following the State Quarterfinal games to be held on Saturday, November 1. The schedule for championship is as follows:

MIAA VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP AT CIVIC ARENA NOVEMBER 20-22

From the hardwood to the volleyball court, for the fourth consecutive year, make plans to be a part of the excitement of the MIAA Volleyball Championship at Civic Arena November 20-22. The leagues top eight teams will converge on St. Joseph with the quest of winning the tournament title in which seeding will be determined following the conclusion of the regular season. The tournament schedule is listed below:

NCAA DIVISION I WOMEN’S COLLEGE BASKETBALL RETURNS TO ST. JOSEPH DECEMBER 7 WITH A SWEET 16 MATCHUP IN THE THIRD ANNUAL BILL SNYDER CLASSIC PRESENTED BY SOUTHERN BANK

A can’t miss event comes to Civic Arena on Sunday, December 7 as the 3rd Annual Bill Snyder Women’s Basketball Classic features Kansas State from the Big 12 vs. Ole Miss from the Southeastern Conference in one of the most marquee non-conference matchups this season! The Wildcats, who finished last season 28-8 and ranked #15 in the final WBCA poll are coached by Missouri Western alum Jeff Mittie who has won more then 600 career games. They oppose the Rebels who posted a 20-11 record a season ago, were ranked #20 in the final WBCA poll and feature the countries top transfer recuriting class. Both teams reached the sweet 16 of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
