Join us in celebrating history and talent during the Juneteenth Pageant held at the Bartlett Center.
Categories include: Princess/Prince, Junior Queen/King, and Queen/King. Registration is required in advance.
Competition for Queen/King includes 3 categories: Essay – 200 words or less on the theme of ‘Freedom Day’; “what does Juneteenth in St. Joseph mean to you?” Modeling – (business attire) for an in-depth interview with emcee. Interview – Formal evening attire.
Competition for Junior Queen/King includes 2 categories: Essay – 200 words or less on the theme of ‘Freedom Day’; “what does Juneteenth in St. Joseph mean to you?” Modeling – (party dress) for an in-depth interview with emcee.
Competition for Princess/Prince includes 1 Category: Essay – 50 words or less on the theme of ‘Freedom Day’; “what does Juneteenth in St. Joseph mean to you?”
Rehearsals and photography times are required for this event.
Prizes are as follows:
$500 – Queen and King Winner
$200 – Junior Queen and King Winner
$100 – Princess and Prince Winner
