For years, horse riders from across the country have contributed to the annual Pony Express Re-Ride. Mail is carried 1,800 miles from Sacramento, CA to Saint Joseph, MO. Rougly 600 riders travel a few miles at a time around the clock, carrying mail in mochilas just as the original riders did.

The 2023 ride is expected to be completed at 7:30pm, Saturday, June 17 at the Patee House Museum.
