March 16, 2022 – St. Joseph – The St. Joseph Convention & Visitors Bureau learned Wednesday afternoon that they were awarded a top Adsposure Transit Award – Kansas City Biggest Impact – for bus wrap marketing/advertisements in 2021, far surpassing 108 total nominees in markets such as Cincinnati, Chicago, Nashville and San Antonio, among others.

Bob Frohoff, account executive for Adsposure, states that St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau received more votes than any other nominees in the contest. Headquartered in Cincinnati, Adsposure has offices in nine U.S. cities.  There were a total of 108 nominees in the competition. “This is an especially impressive win for St Joseph,” said Frohoff, “considering that other cities in the contest included much larger markets such as Dallas/Ft. Worth and Chicago.  It speaks to the strength of the CVB’s marketing initiatives, and the rich history and heritage that St. Joseph offers to travelers throughout the region.”

According to their press release, “Adsposure was blown away by the number of votes nominees received throughout the 3-week campaign of its first ever Transit Awards. Thanks to those nearly 11 thousand votes, Adsposure was able to select winners in every category.”

The Adsposure Transit Awards are a way to recognize the efforts of marketing teams across the country who have worked hard to create stand-out ads, works of art, to emblazon upon the buses, benches, and shelters at the markets Adsposure works with.

Adsposure put together four categories in each of its markets: Biggest Impact, Creativity, Community Awareness, and Eye-Level. Adsposure teams chose nominees based on ads that ran in 2021.

“Our community of partners and advertisers really ran with these new awards, as one more way to showcase the great work they are doing, and to keep these awesome campaigns alive a little longer,” Alex Souders, Adsposure Director of Marketing, said. “It just shows how much appreciation people have for this medium, how it gives back to the community and what it feels like to see your campaigns on the road every day. It’s definitely been a success having these awards, and the ability to recognize these local, regional, and national businesses on the same stage.”

The CVB would like to thank everyone in our community and surrounding areas for taking the time to vote for this award. “The passion the St. Joseph Visitors Bureau has for marketing our city as a premiere travel destination is reflected in the support of our local citizens who absolutely rallied together to make this honor possible,” said Beth Conway, Communications Director.

The ability for the St. Joseph Visitors Bureau to implement this new marketing program was partially made possible with support of the Missouri Division of Tourism.

Winners will receive an award commemorating their victory, showing off the ad that won for them.

To see all of the nominees, Adsposure has put together a website to remember all the ads involved at https://www.adsposure.com/2021-transit-awards/.
