Colored Pencil Happy Hour with Wanda Taylor

Explore the art of colored pencil during Colored Pencil Happy Hour with artist Wanda Taylor at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.

With more than 20 years of colored pencil experience, Wanda guides participants through techniques including composition, complementary color, texture, blending, layering, and developing a personal artistic style. Participants may follow guided lessons or bring their own reference images and projects to work on during class.

Wanda provides step-by-step guidance throughout the process, making the class approachable for both beginners and experienced artists. All skill levels are welcome.

Participants should bring their own drawing paper or sketchbook, artist-grade colored pencils, an eraser, and a pencil sharpener. The museum recommends heavier drawing paper or smooth watercolor or mixed-media paper. Clairefontaine Pastelmat and Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet are also recommended options.
