Glass Fusing Two-Class Series at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art

November 11 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
$100

Discover the art of glass fusing during this hands-on, two-class workshop at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
Designed for beginners and creatives of all experience levels, the series introduces participants to the fundamentals of working with fused glass while providing plenty of opportunities to create their own unique pieces.
During the first class, students will learn safe material handling, glass-cutting techniques, design assembly, and the basics of the kiln-firing process. Participants will create fused glass jewelry using molds to shape their designs, along with a glass mosaic artwork.
For the mosaic project, participants are encouraged to bring a colorful reference image to use as inspiration for their design.
Following the first class, the assembled pieces will be fired in the museum’s glass kiln.
Students will return for the second session on November 11 to assemble and finish their jewelry pieces, add final details, and complete their glass mosaic artwork. The second class is a shorter session focused on finishing projects and picking up completed pieces.
All materials for both classes are included.
The museum’s glass kiln was generously donated by Eileen Dyer, whose support helps make this creative experience possible.
