October Shelf Indulgence Book Club at The Den

Settle in for an evening of books and conversation during the October Shelf Indulgence Book Club at The Den, hosted by Sydney James.

This month’s gathering features two separate book discussions, giving readers the option to join the Spicy Book Club, the Regular Book Club, or both.

The Spicy Book Club begins at 6:00 p.m. with The Coven by Harper L. Woods. This dark, witchy romance follows a young witch returning to the mysterious Hollow’s Grove University, where secrets, danger, magic, and forbidden attraction await. Readers can expect dark academia atmosphere, enemies to lovers tension, and plenty to discuss.

The Regular Book Club begins at 6:30 p.m. with Tender Is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica. Set in a disturbing world where animal meat is no longer considered safe to eat, the novel follows a man working within an industry that has turned to humans as an alternative. The story explores unsettling questions about society, morality, and what people are willing to accept.
