Digital Drawing Basics with Jaylen Words

Bring your ideas to life with digital art during Digital Drawing Basics with artist Jaylen Words at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
This beginner-friendly, three-part class introduces participants to the fundamentals of digital drawing while guiding them through the creation of a personalized llama illustration.
Jaylen will lead students step by step through the digital drawing process, beginning with setting up a new file and navigating drawing software. Participants will explore brushes, color, layers, composition, and other essential tools while developing their own digital artwork.
Throughout the series, students will create a llama character and customize it with accessories and details of their choice, providing plenty of opportunities to experiment and develop a personal illustration style.
No previous digital drawing experience is required. Participants must bring their own tablet or laptop with Procreate or another preferred digital drawing program already installed.
The class is designed for ages 13 and older.
