Digital Drawing Basics with Jaylen Words

Bring your ideas to life during Digital Drawing Basics with artist Jaylen Words at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.

This beginner-friendly, three-part class introduces participants to the fundamentals of digital drawing while creating a personalized llama illustration. Jaylen will guide students through the process step by step, from setting up a new file and navigating drawing software to working with brushes, color, layers, composition, and more.

Throughout the course, participants will create their own llama character and customize it with accessories, giving each student the opportunity to experiment and develop an illustration that reflects their personal style.

No previous digital drawing experience is required. Participants must bring their own tablet or laptop with Procreate or another preferred digital drawing program already installed. A stylus, mouse, keyboard, and reference images are also suggested.

This class is open to ages 13 and older.
