Fiber Owl Workshop with Marylin Huskamp

Spend the day creating a one-of-a-kind fiber owl during this hands-on workshop with fiber artist Marylin Huskamp at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
Participants will create a 12-inch-tall fiber owl using foam, wire, and fabric, then bring their creation to life with a variety of decorative ephemera. Marylin will guide students through the process from construction to the finishing details, providing plenty of opportunities to personalize each owl.
Marylin is an experienced fiber artist who has taught at art retreats across the country as well as International Quilt. Her work has appeared in publications including Cloth Paper Scissors, Quilting Arts, Haute Handbags, and Fiber Arts, along with books such as 1000 Artisan Textiles and Collaborative Art Journals.
The finished owl makes a distinctive piece of home decor or a creative handmade gift for someone who loves these unique birds.
Lunch and some supplies are included in the registration fee. Participants will need to bring a few additional materials.
