Intro to Drawing with Alex Asher

Build your drawing skills from the ground up during Intro to Drawing with artist Alex Asher at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.

This four-week course offers a welcoming introduction to the fundamentals of drawing for beginners and artists looking to strengthen their skills. Participants will explore composition, perspective, line quality, shading, and value while working with graphite pencils and charcoal.

Students will spend time drawing in the classroom and throughout the museum galleries, using artwork and museum spaces as inspiration. Each session begins in the classroom before participants venture into the museum to practice their techniques.

All supplies are included, and no previous drawing experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and creativity.
