$30

Join the Saint Joseph Symphony for REMEMBERING BEETHOVEN, a special concert commemorating the 200th anniversary of the passing of Ludwig van Beethoven.

The evening traces the evolution of Beethoven’s unmistakable musical voice, beginning with his vibrant Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Op. 21. The work reflects the elegance of Haydn and Mozart while offering glimpses of the bold musical direction that would help define the Romantic era.

The program culminates with Beethoven’s powerful Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major, Op. 73, known as the Emperor Concerto. Celebrated American concert pianist and Cliburn International Competition medalist Sean Chen joins the Saint Joseph Symphony as featured soloist for this monumental work.

This concert is the first part of the Symphony’s remembrance of Beethoven, with the celebration continuing during the following season.
