Intro to Drawing with Alex Asher

Build your drawing skills during Intro to Drawing with artist Alex Asher at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art.
Whether you are picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to strengthen your existing skills, this four-week course provides a welcoming introduction to the fundamentals of drawing.
Alex Asher will guide students through developing a composition while exploring perspective, line quality, shading, and value. Participants will work with both graphite pencils and charcoal as they learn techniques for creating depth, form, and visual interest.
Students will spend time drawing in the classroom as well as throughout the museum galleries, using artwork and museum spaces as inspiration.
All supplies are included in the registration fee. Participants should meet in the classroom at the beginning of each session before heading into the museum.
No previous drawing experience is required. Just bring your curiosity and creativity.
